It is antiseptic and antibacterial therefore it may help get rid of the bacteria that causes acne; however, not the acne on your face. It is a good treatment for the back or shoulders. Make a paste of baking soda and leave it on for up to 15 minutes. Adding ¼ cup baking soda to your bath can help relieve itchy skin resulting from problems such as eczema or psoriasis. It is also good to soak in if you have chicken pox or hemorrhoids, ichthyoids, mosquito bites, bee stings, poison ivy, fungal infections or yeast infections.
